Located in Coombsville east of downtown Napa, Italics Winegrowers is a luxury producer of Bordeaux varietals and blends from Napa Valley. Helmed by proprietors Ken and Mike Martin, Managing Partner Taylor Martin, the winery employs estate winemaking to highlight the best of what Napa Valley has to offer. The owners are farmers from Texas, but their penchant for making world-class wines has turned numerous heads among the Napa Valley wine industry. Formerly from McAllen, Texas, the Martin Family has built a winery that seems destined for grape greatness. The Martins have always been passionate about wine, but winegrowing was always a dream, something they said they would love to do if they ever got the chance.
The Estate boasts a 16,000 square foot cave complex which holds the company’s barrel aging facility, as well as a tasting room that greets the growing number of Italics devotees. Italics show you something worth paying attention to and staying true to their farming heritage, The Martin’s mantra remains that all great vintages start in the field, a concept learned long ago in their Ruby Red grapefruit orchards of South Texas. The use of technology where applicable set the Winegrowing aspect of Italics apart. While there is something to be said for tending to the land with a gentle hand The Martin family understand the necessity of technology to increase the potential for greatness. There’s no better way to experience Italics than to come to the source.

Mi Sueno Winery is the Herrera Family dream. It is a result of decades of Rolando’s perseverance and determination, and an expression of his passion for winemaking in Napa Valley.
Rolando began the journey with nothing more than a strong work ethic, diligence, and with a competitive drive to persevere. “It took me over 30 years to build Mi Sueno, but it only took 15 minutes to come up with the name.”
Mi Sueño is more than a Napa Valley winery that creates ultra-premium wine from estate vineyards. Winemaker, farmer and owner Rolando Herrera has three decades of experience, beginning with mentoring from legendary winemakers Warren Winiarski and Paul Hobbs. Breaking out on his own in 1997, Rolando began the Mi Sueño label by focusing on Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Wine production has blossomed over the succeeding 17 years production to nearly 5,000 cases; however, 100% of the vineyards remain estate and personally managed by Rolando.
The reserve program, Herrera, is a collection of two to three barrel size lots from each year’s yield and are a metaphor for his family. The Herrera label design is a dedication to his family name and every bottle is a celebration of his love for his children. Specific varietals in the Herrera program include Cabernet, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Malbec and Petit Verdot. These are not only what Rolando refers to as “the gift of Mother Nature”, but his winemaking interpretation of his children’s personalities.
